Our Mission

How We Plan To Serve

Our goal is to add comfort to the recovering injured, from all branches of the service, and to help with some of the things they need for a little better quality of life, as well as assisting them in their recovery. This effort found its genesis with the formation of The Warrior Foundation, headed up by Rick Roberts, KFMB760, and the San Diego Council of the Navy League. Their combined effort has yielded over 8.2 million dollars ftoward the effort of sending our heroes home for the holidays, as well as assisting with their needs while recuperating. Our Warriors have been blessed with thousands of donations and many thousands of supporters for this universal and cooperative campaign for the heroes of our nation.

The Freedom Station concept has grown based on the needs that were witnessed in our efforts to bring assistance to our injured heroes. For this distinct purpose, a separate organization was created to help us reach the goal of providing this absolutely necessary service to our returning heroes. That organization is Freedom Station USA.
Our focus became the establishment of a recovery transition center, in San Diego, CA , with a lease to purchase option, that was very close to the hospital. This close proximity to the hospital would make it easier for our Warriors to receive the treatment that is so very important to their physical and emotional recovery. In a very real sense, this effort is intended to assist in the time of doubt while awaiting their retirement or discharge from their respective branch of service.

During this critical time of each Warriors life come the many decisions that will affect the rest of his/her life. They need help pursuing a career, locating or purchasing housing in our community, choosing and enrolling in a college or vocational school, and getting back and forth to doctors and physical rehabilitation appointments which is essential to their care and recovery. We feel a helping hand at this point in their lives, between the military and the seemingly awesome task of returning to productive civilian active lives, is the best way to help solve some of the issues wartime causes.

Our injured Warriors are a very proud bunch of men and women and they don’t want to be a burden to anyone.
Persistence and dedication are attributes each of our injured Warriors possess. This drive and strong will to achieve will help us to assist them during their rough road ahead.

We are looking for supporters for this effort from all who might care about the fate of our valiant heroes. Whether it be donated goods, services or time, or even a grant or donation if you happen to be from an organization who would like to help, your support is needed to continue this effort. It is our goal to help as many of our heroes as we can. We can only do this with your support.
